It’s forbidden to use the slopes while maintenance crews are hard at work: groomers, snow cannons, electrical wiring, hoses and other equipment are on the mountain at that time. In the course of maintenance work, there can also be holes and mounds on the trails. In short, you’re welcome whenever the slopes are open. If not, come back tomorrow!

it’s good to stay well informed!
TRAIL A (WEST) – 1.9 km
The trail starts right next to the Quattro chairlift. You will follow the right-hand side of Trail 15 (Dorothée) for about 200 metres before passing under the arch that leads you into the forest. Let the fun begin!
TRAIL B (EAST) – 2.1 km
Go to the Zone Apprenti (La Débutante), at the station’s eastern end. You will climb up the left side of the slope to the wooden arch. Pure fun!

The fun is about to begin! But before you set off, it’s probably a good idea to check trail and slope conditions.
As there is no artificial snow on the ascent trails and since they are not groomed, you may encounter ice patches and more exposed areas. This sometimes adds to the challenge, but caution is advised!
Trails may be closed at the start of the season, after rainy or icy spells, and at the end of the season due to insufficient snow or dangerous conditions. The best way to find out is to stay informed via our social media.
Regulations
Le Relais is a safe mountain because everyone abides by the Mountain Code of Conduct—and we like it that way!
Obtain a right of access and sign the liability waiver.
Everyone must use skis or boards with skins, metal edges, and brakes or retaining straps.
Respect opening hours. Do not go down on ascent trails, undesignated areas or closed trails. Don’t put yourself in danger!
- Trails undergoing maintenance may contain unpredictable holes and mounds.
- There is no mountain patrol available to rescue you quickly.
- Our groomer and snowmobile operators have reduced visibility at night and don’t expect to see hikers. Therefore, it’s not safe for either you or them.
- The groomers are equipped with a winch and cable. This steel cable, which is several hundred meters long, is under tension. Barely visible or hidden under the snow, it can emerge suddenly, causing a severe accident.
Short sections of the ascent trails follow the ski slopes. Everyone will be safe by staying on the edge of the trail, one behind the other.
Help us protect the forest! Don’t leave any litter or traces of your passage and stay on the marked trails.
Starting at 4 PM, make sure to be visible by wearing a white front light
The use of crampons or snowshoes is prohibited.
Dogs are not allowed on alpine touring trails..
useful tips
- Make sure you’re in good physical shape. It’s all about getting to the top and enjoying the thrill of the descent!
- Remember that a sustained effort is required on the way up and that it’s colder at the top.
- So we wear light clothes for the climb, made from Merino wool or synthetic fabric.
- Put on a warmer jacket and gloves upon reaching the summit and for the descent, as well as a helmet. It’s a good practice to follow!
- Bring a whistle, water bottle, and food—in short, everything you already bring with you when you go hiking.
- Bring a cell phone with you for safety and perhaps to take a selfie at the summit. However, cellular network coverage may be poor or non-existent.
- Assemble in groups of 3 or more whenever possible. It’s so much more fun! If you decide to go up alone, tell someone you know about your whereabouts.
The only ones patrolling the climbing trails are the small animals you may encounter.
In case of an emergency
- During opening hours (8:30 AM to 9 PM Wednesday through Saturday / 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM Sunday through Tuesday), call 418-849-1851 ext. 3425, and our mountain patrollers will help you.
- When the station is closed, it’s closed—it says so—so no emergency service is available. Dial 911 in case of emergency. If you need to be picked up, you may be charged for the rescue ($500).
