The days are getting longer, the sun is getting stronger. This is the sign that evening skiing must end. It is on Saturday, March 23 that you can enjoy the slopes in the evening for one last time at the Relais.

But why does evening skiing end before the end of the season? Well it is above all a matter of safety for you, dear snowboarders and skiers!

In spring, the sun is warmer and higher in the sky. Of course, the snow melts and turns into water. This water tends to freeze on the surface of the snow when the sun goes down, and it forms a beautiful “ice rink”. It is impossible for us to send the groomers to work these tracks at this time, the snow being too soft.

Sometimes we will shorten the evening if our team realizes that the trails are no longer safe for you. And when this is recurring, we completely close the slopes in the evening and we work them during the night, so that they are impeccable for the next day.

Well, it’s as simple as that!
